Abstract
The data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) indicates a sharp decline in rice production in Central Java, reflecting the presence of a critical point caused by factors such as land use change, climate change, and pest infestations. The graph associated with the data shows a drastic decrease in production, approaching zero, which signals a failure in the agricultural sector. This phenomenon highlights the sector's vulnerability to environmental changes, requiring policy intervention and changes in agricultural practices. The Agent-Based Modeling (ABM) approach through simulations using NetLogo can help understand the interactions between various agents such as farmers, pests, and government policies, as well as predict the impacts of environmental or policy changes. This simulation is useful for designing more effective policies to reduce losses and ensure the sustainability of food production in the future.
