Peer Review Process

Of course, here is the formal version in English, suitable for a Peer Review Policy page.

Peer Review Policy

HASMA Journal implements a double-blind peer review process to maintain the quality, originality, and academic integrity of every submitted manuscript. In this process, the identities of both the authors and the reviewers are kept anonymous to ensure objectivity and impartiality in the evaluation.

The Peer Review Process:

  1. Reviewer Selection: Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two expert reviewers who are competent in the relevant field. Reviewers are selected based on their expertise and are confirmed to have no conflicts of interest with the research or its authors.

  2. Review Timeline: The first editorial decision is targeted to be delivered to the authors within 4–6 weeks of submission. Each round of the peer review process is estimated to take up to 4 weeks.

  3. Editorial Decision: Based on the reviewers' recommendations and the editorial board's assessment, the decision will be one of the following:

    • Accept

    • Minor Revision

    • Major Revision

    • Reject

The final decision rests entirely with the Editorial Board.

  4. Manuscript Revision: Authors whose manuscripts require revisions will be given 7–14 days to make the necessary changes. The revised manuscript must be accompanied by a response letter detailing all changes made in response to the reviewers' comments.

  5. Ethics and Appeals: HASMA Journal provides an appeal mechanism for authors who disagree with an editorial decision. The entire review process adheres to the publication ethics guidelines set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
